Channel Swim for Spinal Injuries

Posted by ANGELA HARRISON in Charity on Thursday 16 September 2021

Our Director, Angela, is once again pounding up and down the pool participating in the Aspire Channel Swim with a mission to complete 22 miles of freestyle in 12 weeks (that’s 1416 lengths of a 25 metre pool).

Aspire is the association for spinal injury research, rehabilitation & reintergration.

Every 4 hours someone is paralysed through a spinal cord injury (military service, car/motorbike/sports accident). Aspire provides the essential equipment, advice & housing that spinal cord injury people need to live independently.

Inspired the incredible athletes from the Paralympics, Angela decided it was time to step up again & in so doing hopes to regain her own mojo after a difficult few years.

All support is very gratefully received & helps Angela to keep swimming those lengths for Aspire!
