Our 2021 Charities.
This financial year it was Angela’s turn to select our chosen charities.
Her first choice was Our Place Support, a not for profit community enterprise scheme, which provides a mentoring programme in partnership with schools to support children’s mental health. She qualified as a Mentor herself during Lockdown 1 & has been actively involved ever since.
Her second was Twycross Zoo’s CV-19 Emergency Appeal, to help fund the animals upkeep during the extended lockdown periods.
And her third was VaccinAid, to help provide lifesaving CV-19 vaccines to countries who need it most. Having visited Cambodia & Sumatra, among many other countries on the emergency list & encountered the most wonderful people on her travels, she was in no doubt of the need to step up. She’s also been volunteering as a Vaccination Steward in Birmingham, to help on a more local level too.
Angela says ” I received a Thank You note during Volunteers Week with a great saying on it, something I know many people aspire to live up to:
‘Getting the most out of life isn’t about how much you keep for yourself but how much you pour into others’. David Stoddard.
I believe my chosen charities deliver on this principle & I’m very proud that our business has been able to support them in these difficult times.”
